Bandit.2 – the new generation of conveyor belt trailers
More effective, more lightweight and safer roadwork

Exactly 10 years ago Krampe was awarded the DLG silver medal for its innovative trailer with conveyor belt. At this year's Agritechnica, the German tipper manufacturer is due to unveil the Bandit 750.2 out of new generation of conveyor belt trailers, that will start rolling out of the factory in 2020.

Building on the experience of manufacturing hundreds of trailers with a conveyor belt, Krampe specifies the new series 2 models with a conveyor belt that is 150mm wider than on the predecessor and also modifies driveline to the belt. In addition, new and more vertical sides minimise the risk of material collecting in the corners at floor level. This and an optimised sealing result in effective unloading that leaves nothing behind. Furthermore, Bandit.2 offers a higher capacity, courtesy of the redesigned interior and 80cm silage extensions that increase the volume by nearly 1m³ to 39.4 – 51.3m³, depending on the model. At the same time, the empty weight drops by 360-470kg on the Bandit 750.2-980.2 models.

Responding to customer wishes, Krampe also repositioned the rear lights on the Bandit. These are now LED lights as standard and are installed on the tailgate rather than underneath it where they were exposed to mud and contamination. The new position improves road safety and makes installing additional rear lights at the top part of the tailgate much easier. This option for an improved visibility in traffic had been a growing customer request.

The well-proven pneumatic running gear has kinked supports, a design that lowers the bed by 10cm compared with the predecessor. The advantage of this is a lowered centre of gravity whilst retaining a sufficient ground clearance and the important axle travel. The pneumatic off-road gear offers a superior ride comfort and optimum on- and off-road performance.

Built to a modular concept, the new generation of agricultural conveyor belt trailers follows the design of the SB II semi-trailer with conveyor belt, a strategy that ensures parts are readily available if needed.

In addition, the series 2 models feature a large number of details that improving operation and reliability, for example the useful mechanical indicator on the front end that indicates the belts position.
All these features are available on the Tandem Bandit 750.2 als well as on the Tridem versions Bandit 800.2 and Bandit 980.2, which are entering production in 2020.
