The company Krampe Fahrzeugbau has evolved from a small village smithy to an internationally operating company. Since 1981, trailers have been built in Coesfeld-Lette, Westphalia. The first agricultural single-axle tippers were made from old trucks that came from the junkyard. Initially, the trailers were mainly sold in the Münsterland, the product variety and the turnover grew steadily over the years, new markets were opened up. As the market leader for agricultural tipper trucks in Germany, Krampe has meanwhile also made a good name in the field of container trailers and earthmoving tippers. Vehicles for the waste disposal industry and the municipal sector complete the program, whereby Krampe sees himself not as a volume manufacturer, but as an individual manufacturer. This results in many unique trailers, which are manufactured specifically according to customer requirements.
The well-known slogan "Krampe quality on wheels" is also emblazoned on the paint shop building. The westphalien, which are considered persistent, have remained loyal to Germany as a production location. With the basic idea "What we can produce ourselves, we do it ourselves", the family-run company has always had good experiences. The high degree of vertical integration gives Krampe the reassuring certainty of being able to deliver the highest quality and having all production steps under control.
We are an owner-managed company for more than 100 years. On January 1, 2023, Robin Krampe took over the position as sole managing director of Krampe Fahrzeugbau GmbH. After August Krampe, the fourth generation is now in charge. The company is 100% owned by the family and this is to remain so in the future.
At Krampe, we live a sustainable company policy and values. A friendly tone where everyone is addressed with “you”, is just as much a part of this as well as an employee equity participation or the annual company party. We maintain long-standing and trusting relationships also with our suppliers and dealers, and this sometimes for several decades.
We are proud of our employees. Lots of long-term employees have still completed their apprenticeship at Krampe. Regularly, our apprentices receive awards as chamber, regional or federal winners.
This is the guiding principle of our company that has made us what we are today – Germany's uncontested market leader and manufacturer of tractor-pulled halfpipes and body tippers for the agricultural industry.
Our trailers are outstanding for their superior dependability and long machine life. Furthermore, they enjoy a resale value that tells its own tale.
